Micalong Creek

I was going to add some new images today that I took in the last few days - but like a dill I left my camera case with my download connector up at the cabin! I 'll content myself with adding a few older images.

This is Micalong Creek, up near Wee Jasper in the ranges behind Yass and Gundagai and on the back road to Tumut

I like the shot with the water running through the rocks, nice one :)

Yes! It's a beutiful area and has a 'fishing camp' made (mostly) of tin shacks along the Micalong Creek at Hanging Bridge and its popularity is becoming an environmental conundrum.

Those flowers were growing abundanly in the area. I'm not sure if they are native or introduced species but was told the pink one was an Australian bush orchid.

They both look like Asiatic Lillies to me, very popular with florists and a garden escapee...

Well there's an abundance of them growing wild out there - all the florist or the keen gardener has to do is the negotiate the road over the ranges to Wee Jasper. LOL!
