Around this region - contact points

I’ve often felt I should give people more ‘access’ to the region I live in and the best way of doing this is to post a list of links to local facilities.

Our press.  Small country newspapers still survive in Australia. In our case it is The Yass Tribune, a bi-weekly – produced Wednesdays and Fridays – with all local content.

The NSW Planning Guidelines for Wind Farms listed these issues\
as key in the assessment of any new wind farm developments

The Wednesday version contains two inserts, The Southern Weekly Magazine. The Southern Weekly gives readers a weekly glimpse of the events and issues affecting our towns and rural areas. It’s the most established publication of its type in the southern region with more than 49,000 copies distributed throughout the Central West, South West Slopes and Riverina area. The Southern Weekly is inserted into 25 local country newspapers and rural mail boxes from Parkes to Albury and Hay to Crookwell.

The second insert is Town and Country Magazine. Town and Country Magazine delivers the latest news from Wagga Wagga NSW including sport, weather, entertainment and lifestyle.

For those interested in local real estate – both town dwellings and rural holdings, every Friday The Yass Tribune includes a real estate supplement known as Tablelands District Domain

Of course, our ‘flagship’ is “Granny”, the national daily broadsheet, The Sydney Morning Herald.

Of course, there is also the Yass Visitors Information Centre where one can learn all about the arts, culture and heritage of Yass - This historic country town is the home of explorer Hamilton Hume. Discover heritage treasures along the town's Historic Walk and Drive; you can even follow in the footsteps of explorers on the Hume and Hovell Walking Track.

So, for those wanting to explore this region and what its like around here you have plenty of links to help you to be an informed commentator on life in Australia. All publications are part of the Fairfax Media.

Cheers
