We are expecting a further 400mm of rain over the weekend  - that's 16 inches of rain!

Seems to be that we are in the beginning of a cycle change. I cannot remember rain like this since thirty years ago and then it wasn't as bad as this. This is more like 1955 when we had very sever flooding.

I can't imagine, John, 16" of rain ! Holy S**t !!! How awful for all who will be affected by this.

Lot of people who built during the drought in what were always 'natural watercourses', or, 'dried out wetlands' are really the ones going to be effected.

Nature has a way of reclaiming its own!

Linda, as long as the roof stays tight and dry we have few worries as we are built on a high ridge and this old weatherboard house has been here for over 100 years! (Crosses fingers and touches wood!)
