We've had rain, sleet and snow in the past 24hour - it's not nice outside at all with grey overcast skies, strong breezes coming down off the Australian Alps and it is wet.
That large white 'hook' you can see (bottom right) off our east coast is the very cold low front that came through from the Great Australian Bite and South Australia in the past 24 hours and it looks as though it is probably heading for New Zealand.
Time to rug up and stay warm inside.
Today I'm going to joint and slow cook a rabbit for our dinner.
Tomorrow we are driving up to Campbelltown (three hour drive) to visit daughter and grandsons and I'll be taking my camera along with me.

While you "rug up"...we are sitting outside in the waning summer sun and drinking iced tea and eating raspberries.
Have a safe trip!

Thanks - we did! left the ice and cold of home and went to balmy sunny Sydney. Was lovely to strip off the winter wears. Now back and the temperature is dropping rapidly at 4.30 PM.
It was cold here too yesterday but today it's warm again and sunny. Funny weather this year. Safe travels. :)
Hope your trip was safe and doable in that weather!
I may be crazy to say this, but I am looking forward to cooler temps here John! We Maritimers are not used to a month of hot and humid weather.....we aren't built for it!
I do like Rabbit, John. One of our staples was Jack Rabbit when growing up. Enjoy your time with your family! xx
