Has not been a nice end to 2010

In mid November we lost the youngest of our Brother-in-laws, (in fact he was the 'youngest' of the close adult family) a real gem of a guy and he will be sorely missed.

Then, on the 22nd December another brother-in-law, this one the eldest of us all, 'stroked out' and died on the 23rd without waking up. His Funeral was Friday, the  31st December. So in all, my two surviving sisters had a very sad Christmas and New Year period - both in mourning and the latter one in crisis.

To top it all off my eldest sister, now living alone, fell down the back steps lacerated her lips and face, blackened both eyes and chipped a tooth requiring a crown replacement. Also did not do her arthritic wrists and knees any good.

Be that as it may, life goes on for us who remain and we must just get on with living - what is the alternative?

To you all I wish you:

And it comes with the sincere wish that 2011 will be all that you hope and wish it to be for yourselves and whoever else is important to you all!

Some years are sadder than others, with loved family members passing on, having horrendous diseases, and broken bodies. Financial devastation or emotional breakdowns. It's all part of living and those of us that are still here, must go on, as you say - what is the alternative?

My sympathies go out to your sisters and their families,as well as yourselves, and a "Get Well" to the one that took the fall.

Happy New Year to you and yours!

oh dear John, life can be pretty rude sometimes, and I guess we all deal with these moments in the best way that we can. Take care yourself and I wish you and your family a healthy and Happy New Year!

John, my goodness you have been through a lot lately. My heartfelt sympathy to you and your family. We can never be prepared for these things that smack us in the head! We must however have the strength to move forward. Stay strong John. All the best,
Jim
