Theseus is a mortal man chosen by Zeus to lead the fight against the ruthless King Hyperion, who is on a rampage across Greece to obtain a weapon that can destroy humanity.
Director:
Tarsem Singh
The darkened scenes made viewing difficult and much of the script was unintelligible - glad I only paid $AUS6 to view it on Fox Box Office as even that was over-priced in my book. Henry Cavill with his bare chest may titillate some. Mickey Rourke was disappointing as the evil King Hyperion - surely he could do more than cut someone's head off for a dramatic effect.
My rating 3 out of 10.

ONE WORD FOR IT
shite
Double shite, in fact!
Haven't seen it...now won't see it. I'm so tired of all these mythology/science fantasy movies. Can we some with real people please?
The period of Peloponnesian War, 431 to 404 BC, was a fascinating era in history and there are many battles worthy of film-conversion. The problem is frequently more one of poor writing, directing and cinematography. Now "Troy" was a really good period movie, exciting, easy on the eye and some really good acting - Eric Bana was a very believable Hector - but the "Immortals" is a spaghetti Greek tragedy!
